Oh! What a Lovely War
Autumn Production November 2008

 Director: David Butler-Cole
Musical Director: Graham Cooper
Performances: Lagoa Auditorium. 4th, 5th & 6th November 2008

We couldn’t have wished for better responses from our audiences and the press. Timed to coincide with Armistice Day, the show, a satirical look at the events of the First World War was expertly directed by David Butler-Cole.  With music and songs from the period, the authenticity of the costumes and props the show was a great way to show our audiences what our members and production team are capable of.

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal was the charity chosen to receive a percentage of the ticket sales from this show. Committee are happy to say the sum of 1,626 has been donated to this charity. Together with the raffle which took place each evening and poppy sales, the British Legion were delighted that the total sum of 3,000 was raised at this event. A letter of thanks has been received from the RBL thanking us for our generosity.
